Rock Talk Lapidary S2:E8 Brad & Hanna Newport of We Got Rocks LLC
Our guests Brad and Hanna (in Hanna’s Words) Brad bought a property in Sweet Home years ago and later found out that it had some petrified wood. He named the dig site Holleywood Ranch. After he started finding all the petrified wood, the travel channel contacted him and wanted him to do a segment featuring the ranch. (Link below) He later decided to do something with all the petrified wood he dug and started buying lapidary equipment from Highland Park. The owner of HP invited him to come over to the Philippines and check out his factory he was putting together at the time. He fell in love with it and decided to invest into it. And that’s how Brad and I also met.
After years of processing at the factory, we accommodated a lot of inventory but not selling as much because Brad was basically going in and out of the Philippines. When I (Hanna) got here in 2020 during the pandemic, we started selling our products by doing live sales on facebook. Since then, it’s been keeping us busy.

Thanks for joining us at Rock Talk Lapidary and get to know us as we share personal experiences and lessons we’ve learned along the way. We all are members of a special club. We all love rocks. Each of us brings to the show our own insights and knowledge. We share our mistakes too so you don’t have to make them. We cover topics ranging from collecting and identifying specimens to lapidary and mining.
Please ask questions and bring a notepad you just may need it.
As for us, we come to you with creative ideas of things you can do and make with your rocks whether you are already a lapidary or just curious about the hobby we invite you into our workspace.
And now we have Video on Spotify!
